This September it was a real pleasure to visit western Germany, near Luxembourg. I had a very unique opportunity to study and practice German, as well as spend time with an extraordinary family. What follow are images of the many different type of cakes, baked by family, I enjoyed, The amount of sugar varied, but often times, was relatively low—providing a hearty, but not overpowering, lovely cake-sweet!
